Description At birth, all dragons look like large, pink worms. At maturity, dragons grow to be massive hooded serpents with white to grey, light blue, orange to red, or black scales. Some become grey light wyrms.
Procreation Dragons mate with each other only. Without intense supernatural interference, half-dragons are an impossibility. Dragons lay one to three eggs at a time. Upon hatching, a dragon immediately begins absorbing background energies. All dragon eggs are filled with pure, liquid draconic energy, which sustains the baby dragon upon hatching.
Esoterica Agate dragons have accumulated great quantities of psionic energy. They tend to also have dream energy, winds aether, mana, yahas, and kor, but all energies are generally found in minor quantities.
Special Powers

Dragons gain new powers as they accumulate more energies. At each stage of growth, they gain a new ability, usually culminating with the twelfth ability when they accumulate . The usual progression of powers is as follows:

  • Level 1: Nerve toxin gas breath weapon
  • Level 2: Immunity to confusion
  • Level 3: Immunity to control
  • Level 4: Immunity to psionci damage
  • Level 5: Scale grants bearer minor telepathy
  • Level 6: Telekinetic barrier
  • Level 7: Control to hive mind, once per year
  • Level 8: Perfect measuring
  • Level 9: Psionic scanning
  • Level 10: Mind control net
  • Level 11: Summon edificiants
  • Level 12: Full psionic power set

All dragons accumulate energies by absorbing them naturally from the area around them. As such, they must carefully cultivate their lairs to provide the right kinds of energies, hence they hoard appropriate objects.

Other common powers include subconscious diving, mesmerizing, connect to past selves, and eidetic memory.

Weaknesses Apathy and boredom resonance can harm them.
Subspecies Psionic dragons are wyrms made of grey light that have more psionic energy than other agate dragons. They are made of pure psionic energy and are more powerfully psionically than their brethren.
Culture Agate dragons dwell in the underside of the floating continent of Gyrah, in the rocky, cloud-caked caverns and spires there. They lay their eggs in caves within the spires. Agate dragons live in a tightly connected, sprawling community that is mentally connected. They all take turns caring for the young and tending the duties of their strange upside down cities.
