| Description | Zebulim appear to be eyeless, winged figures in endlessly twirling cages of ivory. Their feet never touch the ground. |
| Procreation | As permitted by their leaders, only with each other. |
| Esoterica | All angels gain power from the Divine they serve. They are made of heavenly light, and therefore, all of their powers are filtered through that energy. Zebulim are imbued with soul energy and the Divine might of Inner Light. Other powers vary and are limited in their uses, but unholy powers are impossible. |
| Special Powers | Each kind of angel has special powers based on their function in service to their Divine. All angels have a holy aura. For zebulim that aura is one of inner peace. All angels also communicate directly to the souls of the faithful or those who have not been wholly corrupted. |
| Scribe | Scribe zebulim have powers that aide them in the administration of their domains. They have a pen made from one of their feathers [or equivalent], called a stylus. A zebul's stylus has the power to inscribe words that are filled with insight and understanding. They have an oculus power that allows them to see souls. They also have an aspectu, which is their power to see and understand the ontology of a person with a glance. All scribes understand any non-evil language and have the power to understand their Divine's judgment of a mortal and inscribe it upon the scrolls of Heaven. |
| Herald | Herald zebulim's powers aide them in spreading the Word of Inner Light. They bear a trumpet called a lituus, which fills those who are self-aware with calm and instills self-awareness in those who are not. Their cross, or crucis, bonds them to the soul of the World. And their scrolls bear the Word, which fill those who read or hear them with a deeper understanding of who and what they are. Herald zebulim have a capio, or required task, which requires them to spread insight. As they do this, they become stronger. Their oculus allows them to see souls, and their infundere allows them to infuse self-awareness into the lost. Heralds can appear anywhere, though if they appear in unholy areas, it can hurt them. They speak all non-evil tongues. No one who hears their words, or voce, will ever forget them. |
| Warrior | Warrior zebulim have powers that aide them in fighting evil. They bear a sword called a gladius and a shield called a scutum (though their appearances to not necessarily match those terms). Their gladius has a soul and becomes more powerful as it experiences existence, and their scutum is empowered by the angel's soul and is as strong as the soul. Their oculus allows them to see souls. They have a presence called a coram, which infuses self-awareness in those around them. Warriors gain power through service. For every 1,000 beings of pure evil they destroy, they gain a new power, capping at twelve:
The more evil a foe is, the more attacks a warrior has per round, capping at twelve. |
| Guardian | Guardian zebulim protect innocents and followers of Inner Light. Those they protect cannot see them without esoteric intervention. If their ward's soul is in incredible danger, they can intervene at the cost of their existence. Guardian zebulim have a power called teneo, which allows them to absorb deceptions and distortions and abuse to protect their ward. Their oculus allows them to see souls, and their augere power allows them to increase the self-understanding in their ward, if need be. Once in the life of their ward, they may physically intervene to protect them, surrounding them with a holy barrier that blinds those who intend harm. |
| Lord | Lord zebulim are the most powerful of all angels. Their very presence exudes power. This is called coram. For lord zebulim, their presence is one of self-awareness, allowing them to constantly strive to perfect themselves. Every lord angel gains power both from serving their Divine and from being served by lesser angels. The gain a new power every Age they exist in service, capping at twelve:
|
| Weaknesses | Power it takes to instant kill: Infernum 31 |
| Service | Zebulim serve Inner Light. Scribe zebulim administer the work of Inner Light. They keep track of the souls of all mortals and followers of Inner Light. They do all of the minor tasks that make the realm of the Soul work. Herald zebulim spread insight in the world. They leave the Soul and spread the Word, seeking out those mortals who will do great works of self-actualizing in the world and empowering them. They also carry messages for Inner Light between Them and other Divines. Warrior zebulim are the army of metaphysical power. They oppose evil in all its forms and serve as the Soul's defense against the powers of the Infernal. They are a spiritual army led by their Leader Corabaah. Guardian zebulim protect souls followers of Inner Light. They exist as protectors. Holier beings sometimes have more than one guardian. They cannot leave their service to their ward, or they fall. Lord zebulim run the Inner Light and see to it that all other zebulim are doing as they must. Zebulim are only ever seen during the day. They are kings amongst the angels. They protect Inner Light's followers from fear and enemies. |
