After the wars with Agikaan ended, the nations of Taggarus signed alliances and agreements. The Obusingye Empire was given sway over most of the continent by general accord. Only a few nations decided to remain free from their influence, and these rallied to Azet as their leader. The Azeti, however, had no use for other nations and quickly left the others behind. As each of the lesser nations--Vesaritus, Galu, Nioba, Jahananar--fell to economic, environmental, or civil issues, Azet thrived. The other nations turned, eventually, to Obusingye, but Azet survived.
