At the end of the Age of Mantles, the nation of Agikaan quietly began to accrue power. A mysterious figure came out of its jungles, wearing a mark on her face of the Eight-Point Cross. Claiming to be the Voice of the One True God, she rallied a force of true believers to her and began a coup. She ousted the mild government councils that ruled there in absence of the might of the One True God, and she summoned to her eight loyal figures she dubbed the Fingers of God, the rightful successors to the long dead Hand of God. Agikaan rose up. Thousands flocked to the Voice's banner.

The nation began to spread. The whole world watched in horror as it rose up to crush all of Dabusen. The Jenilese, the Unbulese, the Gamayaran, the Quaradeen, the Tenzanese, they all fell to the banner of the Eight-Point Cross. And as they fell, the rest of the world rallied. The seas frothed and sank their ships. The skies fell and destroyed their airships. The caves quaked and crushed their trains. The Island Bridge teemed with resistance. It did not slow Agikaan. The mighty Empire spread out. Crossing the South Pole via the Island Bridge, it swept northward and began to rule Palhur. Using cunning and guile, they headed north and east and began to conquer Ansulym and Fasune. And the march across the Island Bridge to the north brought them to Taggarus.

Using spies and trickery, they laid low the Emperor of Tara'hin. Using terrorist tactics, they swept over Ailanea like a plague. Using cunning artifices, they made Cassaru theirs. The world trembled at the cusp of another millenium of Agikaani domination.

And then, once more, defeat came to the Agikaanis. Heroes and generals, peasants and kings stood firm, and the resources of the mighty nation spread too thin. They could not maintain their dominance like they did before. Within a decade only, Agikaan was forced back. Unable to completely crush them, the world contented itself to forcing them to Dabusen, and soon after Gamayaran and Tenzanai freed themselves.

Now, the nation continues to dominate most of the continent, and the Voice lives yet.
