Description Werevultures appear as they did before being infected in normal form. In vulture form, they appear to be large versions of their given animal, usually a particularly carnivorous breed. In mixed form, they appear to be anthropomorphic vultures.
Procreation Werevultures only procreate through infection. Mothers infect their children in the womb, and fathers infect their children and mates 60% of the time if the mother is pseudohuman that is susceptible.
Magic One in a million have soul magic. One in a million have heart magic. Mind magic is possible. Body magic is very effective. Void is possible. Faith is not uncommon.
Special Powers

Werevultures Werevultures can shift form between "human," vulture, & mixed forms. Each form has advantages: "human" form blends with society, vulture form has all the advantages the vulture has (flight, vomiting reflexes, stench, sharp beak & eyes), & the mixed form combines the two (eyes & beak, flight, blending).

Every werevulture has "outbreaks" of their disease that cause them to lose control and go on sprees of violence and animalistic behavior. Their outbreaks are triggered by hunger and thirst, so eating curbs the outbreaks. They are unique amongst zoantrhopes in that they are connected to the sun, not the moons. They instead have outbreaks during the perihelion.

During other periods, they can control the shift.

Werevultures have heigtened vision and stench and weak olfactory senses. They are very skilled at scavenging and tend to be unclean, in accordance with their nature.

If a wound is not made by gold, sunsteel, or living gold, it will heal quickly. They are extremely resistant to disease and poisons.

Werevultures also have the ability to control vultures, calling them with their raucous squawk.
Weaknesses Gold, magic, or faith is required to kill a werevulture. Harvest magic or faith is especially effective.
Culture

The first werevultures formed in western Ansulym after being infected by diseased vultures. Certain tribes in the region revered the animals as survivors and scavengers, and thus saw it as a sign of favor from their god, the One-Winged God. They slowly infected several tribes, and soon a small nation formed.

Werevultures grew to be a dangerous band of raiders in their wasteland region, and eventually, they grew into a dangerous nation of scavengers, raiders, and warriors who are feared even on Ansulym. Their society reveres survivalism and ruthless control of resources.

In other societies, they have reputations as thieves, beggars, and thugs, though some have found respectable places in society.
