| Description | Ulagas appear to be semi-anthropomorphized garter snakes. Their heads are snake-like, their torsos are humanoid, and their arms are humanoid. They have no legs, for their lower body is that of a snake. They have black necks and yellow or orange stripes, with green bodies. They stand about 6' tall, with tail making them about 10' long. |

| Special Powers | All ophidian races have skills with sneaking and seduction. Ophidian races also have knowledges of medicines and poisons outside their own, and they tend to have much plant and fungal lore. Furthermore, they have a powerful connection to the Divine, giving them a natural bonus to faith rolls. One in every hundred thousand has some of the following abilities: immortality, cloudwalking, space survival, rainbow crafting, spirit speech, one time rebirth, commanding presence, soul-shaping, waterwalking, one time resurrect, horns, invisibility, thunder-making, rain call, unpierceable scales, shining scales, breath of disease, and know own death. All ophidian races are excellent hunters. All ophidian races have a higher probability of left-handedness. Ulagas' tails are effective as weapons, and their venom is a very mild neurotoxin. They have excellent senses of smell, which they use in their pheromonal communication and hunting. They can trick others with their pheromones as well, usually via genderbending. |
| Weaknesses | Hunt magic or faith can harm them. They molt every year, leaving them vulnerable for a month. |
| Culture | Ulagas are diurnal, solitary people. They spend most of their winters in semi-hibernation, and thus, spend most of their springs and summers preparing for it. They are not violent or intimidating like most of their fellow ophidian races, but they are not defenseless. They just tend to be better at avoiding trouble. Crossing an ulaga will earn the interloper a harsh vendetta from their victim. |
