Uallach made the deal for her family hundreds of years ago. Some say it with with the Abdit themself, though she denies it. The family never shares that particular secret. She is a demanding, ornery matriarch who makes sure her family keeps their secrets and respects the lore. She makes sure their debt is paid each year, and if it ever fails, she is the one who takes the blood price out of her kin. She is one of the founding members of the Violet Grith, but she has never risen to the rank of archwarden, something that she resents.

Back in Faerie, she has over a dozen siblings, most of whom still survive. They were a family of ne'er-do-wells, always in trouble, and many of them get sent off to Haenor (or other parts of the world) when the trouble is too much to hide from back in Faerie. Thus, Uallach has a rotating cast of nephews, nieces, and niblings showing up to do a stint as gangsters in the Violet Grith. She herself has two children - Allsún, her dearest daughter, and Meanma, her gentle son - who live back in Faerie with their ailing father, the man whom Uallach married as a young, closeted woman. His violent nature is why she left Faerie - she left him in a coma after fighting back one night.
