The True Herd are the horses of the Pantheon of the Platinum Roses. The chariot of the Sun Goddess is pulled by these white horses. There are tales of them appearing to protect children from danger and of them fighting off evil on their own. The original white horses were born when the Horse Mother summoned holy lightning into the sea to call forth a steed. They are also symbols of fertility.

White horses can walk on clouds (causing gentle rains) and their guts are valued as useful for oracles. They are immune to heat and cold.
