Procreation Trasgus reproduce sexually with each other, other fey, and sometimes mortals.
Esoterica Trasgus are beings of misfortune, poioumenon, and uafas. Like all faeries, they are users of The Tradition, a form of poioumenonic lore empowered by dream energies. They also use shadow, arnum, other forms of msawhat especially black nommos, lunar aether, mystery, some forms of aether, humors, emotional resonances, and spirits.
The Tradition

Trasgus have the following basic fey powers:

  • Trasgus can vanish and become insubstantial by speaking their True Name into a mirror.
  • A circle of salt will protect a trasno from supernatural powers for as long as it goes undisturbed.
  • Any fey being may summon a fell hound by whistling three special notes.

Other powers:

  • A trasgu can create a small noise by pointing in the dark.
  • If the lights are off, they can move small objects around a room without touching them by spinning in circles.
  • If they snap their fingers at night, they can break small objects.
  • If they roll a stone through their fingers at night, all nearby cattle will spook.
  • If they spit at night, all nearby containers of water will spill.
  • They can stir up laundry by twisting a thread around their left thumb at night.
  • If they know a person's common name (or True Name), they can taunt them into outrage with a few short sentences.
Glamour Trasgus can glamour themselves using certain ancient rhymes, altering themselves to be more disturbing or less threatening.
Weaknesses If they do not speak their True Name backwards into that same mirror in half a minute, trasgus lose their True Names. They have a fortnight to recover it or they become targets of the Wild Hunt, corrupted into another kind of fey, or turn into a hag or boggin. Iron or steel will bind a trasgu into powerlessness. An iron horseshoe nailed over a door will bar a trasgu from entering a house. Trasgus are extremely prideful and will try to complete impossible tasks if asked or dared to. When they fail, they will flee. They are also weak to fortune and fate.
National Culture

Trasgus wear red clothes, pointy red hats, long black and grey cloaks, or a tight dark brown dress made of tree leaves and moss. These outfits are culturally important, being the costumes they wore when enslaved. Their enslavement took place in their early years, by the Unseelie Court, and their escape marked their finding the more chaotic Unkindly Court.

Trasgus live in small bands led by the toughest, most ruthless trasnos, called gorretin colorau. These bands seek out houses of other fey or of mortals to bring confusion and frustration to, allowing them the chance to steal food and other valuables. On rare occasions, if they are seen, welcomed, and treated well, they will instead do the chores for the family over night. They will usually mock people, play pranks, and harass workers at their jobs, especially isolated workers like shepherds.

Children amongst the trasgu are raised haphazardly, and only a rare few survive, keeping their numbers low. If they live to be old enough to fight, sneak, and steal, they are brought on raids and taught to bring misfortune and confusion to the lives on their victims. If the band meets with other bands, they trade, fight, fuck, or gossip. Gender is roughly acknowledged, but mostly, everyone is treated the same.

The main focus of trasgu life is survival, but the brutality of their bands means few do. Their small numbers make them mostly ignored. Their customs revolve around revenge for the treatment they received from the unseelie and other fey who mistreated them (they hold long grudges against the Seelie and Kindly Courts as well). They have special mystics called gorra encarnada who specialize in tormenting other fey, and xuan dos camios whose purpose is to keep records of their feuds and mockeries.

Unkindly Culture In the Unkindly Court, the trasgu have found their chance to find revenge on everyone they think wronged them. They rob and plunder the homes of other fey and share their takings with the court through a tithe, but mostly are left to their own devices.
Other Courts In the Kindly Court, trasgu are forced to convert, banished, or killed. The Seelie see them as pests, and the Unseelie enslave them. The Summer and Winter Courts often give them a chance, but usually end up banishing them or requiring them to convert to another nation.
Mortal Interactions Trasgus must hide from mortals whom they prey upon.
