Tohoni are extremely agile, noted for having both power and grace. They are known for their loud, intimidating screams which can scare a mortal to death, though their other felinoid vocalizations are normal. Tohoni are the only beings with more than one natural True Name (having three). They are said to have "soft strength"--they are not the strongest felinians by musculature, but they are the "greatest." They have fists like thunder and can, under extreme measures, can break the sky.

Tohoni live in polygynous societies. They tend to be solitary and reclusive, but many females will choose various males to mate with each year or two. They are very territorial, holding large territories with fierce pride. They are generalist hunters, taking any food they can catch, and they use stalk-and-ambush tactics. Curiously, painting is a common pass time.
