Beliefs:
Venair (Church of the Scarab, Parasitism): We are all parasites living off the universe, for it is our host and it is here to be drained and used. Disease is the perfect form of life, because it has perfecting living off others. Spreading disease is revered for spreading perfection, and acting like disease is the path to personal perfection. Use others, manipulate others, weaken others, throw them away. If you yourself are sick, revere the disease and spread it, for that spreads perfection, and in the next life, you will be rewarded, for your body and your soul will have been consumed and become one with disease.
Hollow Jack (Hollow Church, Theuwisseanist): The universe is cursed, much like our god. The curse, though, is a blessing in disguise. Use the manifestations of the curse--disease, cancer, malady, infirmity, madness, pollution, plague, etc.--to empower yourself. Deformity is strength, not weakness. Cancer is your body's way of telling you that you are imperfect and must change. If it kills you, you were not worthy. Madness is actually clarity of vision, and pollution is perfecting the world. The plague is the greatest form of disease, for it is virulent and efficient. Becoming one with disease is a goal, but becoming one with the curse entirely is the ultimate goal.
Afterlife:
Followers of either god believe that they will be released into a pointless limbo in the Catacombs when they die, neither tormented nor rewarded, for in death, they have served their purpose and are no longer needed. They view life on a species level, and thus, the propagation of their selves is attained either through children, converts, or students. Thus, death is merely the cessation of purpose. However, there are two other possible paths: if one has failed to propagate or draw enough power from the world or simply has not cultivated disease to the proper standard, one will likely be cast into the Hells for torment. However, if one has become powerful enough, one may live on in the diseases that consumed them.
