The Ringmaker is a maleficer who created the Rings of Power. These rings were created by embedding souls or other sources of power into specially crafted metal, and then each ring was given to powerful infernal magic users.

Born in the early days of Third Shem to the d'yavol'skiy nation in Vesturia, the Ringmaker once had a Name and family. They grew up a noble, learned the arts of bol'shaya sila and became a skilled velikiy. Their family encouraged them, and they took on learning the arts of esoteric enslavement and the forging of schwerstrum chains, to help with the family's growing number of slaves. They ended up becoming fascinated with the infernal powers they were learning and retreated from the family's lands and privileges in order to focus on studying them. They next began to learn blood magic, which, combined with the other two powers they were learning, allowed them to begin sapping power from slaves. This gave them longevity and power they did not have before. They pushed their powers further than most infernalists.

As they failed to age, their family began to view them as an embarrassment. They realized that they needed to keep the family resources in order to keep slaves for their experiments. They undertook learning hollow magic, so that they could dominate their family. They used their powers to take control of the estate and went about draining many slaves, becoming extremely powerful. They bought mines for powerful, rare metals. They bought many slaves. And they made sure their estates were impenetrable to their enemies. Taking the rare metals from their mines, they began to experiment with new infernal powers and esoteric smithing. This became their passion, and they turned their studies of infernal magics into a complement of their smithing.

Next they began to study thorn magic, and grew a garden to do so. Then necromancy, kiru, and asservimento. They became very dangerous, very rich, and very strange. With their powers, they then focused on lengthening their life. They created a system of draining slaves and finding new bodies, and began to learn illusions and eaglacruth in order to hide their lands.

Then, eventually, they learned demonology. They made deals with many demons, selling off souls from their slaves and family and serfs. And for every thousand souls, they mastered a new art: plague-bearing, feirua, esoteric puppetry, and then ceriseanism.

Mastering all of these arts and smithing allowed them to begin making potent objects, especially rings, which they found retained the infernal powers best. They began to trade rings to demons for new insights, new powers, new pleasures. And the demons began to seek them out for the rings, for the rings were very powerful and very useful. They gained a reputation. Eventually, they were called upon by a Gentleman. He offered the Ringmaker a deal: give up their entire Self, their Name, and become an eternal figure, an Aeonian, and a legend. And to have access to all of the infernal powers. And so, the Ringmaker became the Ringmaker, with no Name, but with the power to make rings unlike any that had been seen before.

And so they made the Rings of Power: And they gave each to users of those powers, users of incredible evil magicks, and became the one all infernalists sought for their enchanted rings.
