• Avery stays off by himself for a while, looking at the space under his right arm, then looks back over at Arlie looking very thoughtful indeed.

• Jack_C thinks for a moment then steps back about eight more feet. "Try the reach."
• Avery shakes his head. "Not right now. Right now we need to figure out what to do with Arlie, with what's just happened."

• Aurelia murmurs quietly to Arlie. She stays with him, keeping the one hand on his arm.

• Avery looks at her. "if it doesn't wear off on its own, I'll get Sue to try his hand at it."

Aurelia "He will sleep."

• Avery glances at him cooly. "And if he wants to argue the decision, he can take it up with me once he calms down."

Avery "It worked, and you didn't have much time to think. It'll be fine. Like I said, if it doesn't go away on its own, I'll get Sue to look at it."

• Aurelia looks to Valara. "Will you give him sleep?"

Dionysus Valara pauses, then nods, pulling out a vial, "This will do it. Just a small amount."

Aurelia To Arlie - "Will you drink?"

• Arlie_B just laughs.

Dionysus She hands the vial to Aurelia, "It won't be hard to make him swallow it. Pour it in & hold his nose."

• Aurelia nods slightly, then moves around Arlie, her grip putting him in something of a half-hug. She holds the vial up to his lips with her free hand and tilts, humming quietly.

Dionysus Unless Arlie struggles, he'll swallow & sleep soon?

Arlie_B I don't think he struggles too much.

Dionysus So do you all do anything while you wait on the others after Arlie sleeps?

• Avery mostly paces.
• Aurelia sits down with a sigh. After a few minutes she stands again and goes to Avery.
• Avery looks over at her, pausing.

Aurelia "Your light..."

• Avery cocks his head.

Aurelia "To restore is out of reach, but perhaps... I can now abate pain and crimson tears."

Avery "..." he looks touched. "I'd...like that...thank you..."

• Aurelia goes up briefly in opal flame.
• Avery jumps a bit, surprised.

Dionysus So does Bartleby. Valara stares in awe.

• Jack_C looks a little alarmed, briefly.

Aurelia When it clears, she reaches to touch Avery's cheek, then to tug at the covering over his eyes.

• Avery pushes the cloth up to give her access to where his eyes were.
• Aurelia bites the corner of her lip, then puts her hand over the sockets and tries to Heal.

• Aurelia pulls back after a few minutes and bows her head, then shakes it.
• Avery smiles a little, pulling the cloth back down, and hugs her. "Thank you for trying."

Avery it meant a lot to him.

• Aurelia smiles faintly back, then turns away. She burns briefly with black flame on her way back to her seat.
• Avery resumes pacing, but slower now. after a few minutes, he goes to sit beside Leia.

• Avery glances up at her and smiles, a little shyly.
