Description Tennin (or tennyo) appear to be beautiful Tenzanese people, usually women. They wear colorful kimonos, exquisite jewelry, and flowing scarves that wrap around them, as well as their feather dresses. They often carry lotus blossoms.
Procreation When a warrior of a good disposition (an shinsetsuna hito) dies in battle, sometimes, a tennin or tennyo will choose him as a mate. Young tennin are then raised by the soul of their mortal parent for 100 years, learning the arts of war that will allow them to survive astral travel, where they gather the dead. The mortal parent's race determines the attributes of the tennin.
Esoterica Faith is common. All tennin have heavenly powers. Void is impossible, magic is not unheard of. Other powers are possible.
Special Powers Tennin have hagomoro, or dresses of feathers, that allow them to fly, similar to that of swan maidens. Tennin have the ability to send souls at will. They can summon white horses and open heavenly gates at will as well. They do not take penalties on a called saving interruption. They can see on a scale of good to evil. They have one special racial ability gained from their mortal parents. All tennin know how to play either a biwa or flute.
Weaknesses A tennin cannot come close to a soul tainted with cruelty. Without their feather dresses, they cannot fly.
Culture Tennin and tennyo dwell in the Promised Land and serve alongside angels, but unlike angels, they can come to the mortal realm at will and may sin. They can be forced to serve a mortal if that mortal takes their hagomoro.
