Tanukis are raccoon dogs. There are two supernatural forms of them, not counting the yokai tanukis.
  • Kanjō inu (fortune) [japanese] the animal form of the tanuki, a very lucky animal
  • Nginakin (euphotonia) [evenki] far southern Dabusenese raccoon dogs with extreme vision into the bright snow-white landscapes
