Description Tanukis are raccoon dogs with big bellies, friendly smiles, and huge testicles.
Procreation Follows the mother.
Magic One in five million have heart or soul magic. Mind and body magic are possible. Void is possible. Faith is not uncommon.
Special Powers Tanukis are shapeshifters. They can turn into almost anything, often to make others look foolish. They can possess other intelligent beings while they turn into statues, and they have power over nature. They have hats that protect them from trouble and bad weather, big eyes that let them see the whole environment and make good decisions, a sake bottle that holds their virtue, big tails that keep them steady and give them strength until they succeed in their tasks, gigantic testicles that bring them luck, promissory notes that show trust, and their big bellies, which make them bold and calmly decisive. Tanuki have other powerful magical abilities: the ability to bless someone with great fertility, the power to create an illusionary feast tailored to the victims' appetites, the ability to make its skin like stone, and the ability to imitate the powers of its attackers. Their hides are often used while working thin gold.
Weaknesses  
Culture Tanuki love to drink alcohol, no matter their form, and eat to excess. When drunk, they will use their overly large body parts as drums. They love to cause trouble and trick people to make them look foolish. They are famed where they are from.
