The takam is the king of goats. When they come down from the mountains, they bring the spring with them. Those who dwell near takam build effigies of them with colorful glass beads and wod and the tail feathers of a rooster. These effigies are placed on poles and made to dance. The dance pleases the takams and brings spring sooner. Takams can also shape landscapes, if a herd runs over it.
