Nelemerenes appear to be distorted images in the facets of crystals.

Nelemerenes exist in an aura of silence that extends 30' from the surface they are appearing in. If they blink, darkness falls for the brief moment they blink 30' around them.

Nelemerenes dwell in the reflective surfaces of crystals, glass, or other objects. They make no sounds, never communicate, and slowly take molecules from the crystals they are in for sustenance. No one knows more about them than this.

It is rumored that anyone who manages to communicate with one will know secrets no one else knows.

Tianguanean

Protectors of the bonding gates.

Tianguaneans appear to be 6' blue civets.

Tianguaneans have the ability to bond with locations, giving them the ability to teleport back to them at any time, over any distance. They can hold bonds with up to nine locations, though seven of them must be within the world they are on at the time. Every location they bond with must be a space large enough the hold them and no more. Depending on the nature of the location, they may end up having a new power from that location; in these cases, they can only have three new powers at a time.

Tianguaneans come from a world orbiting a massive star. Their world is a tiny, burning rock, and they survive only by bonding to it to protect themselves from the heat, toxic fumes, and chaos. Their culture is one of deep connections and ancient tales. It is important for them to be able to discuss both their genealogical ancestry and their bonding ancestry, as any tianguaneans bonded to the same place become "bondfamilies".

Those visiting Shem are usually there exploring or as wanderers, seeking new places to bond to across the cosmos.
