Sue Have they done any work on the hull?
Dionysus Minor work, nothing major. They have focused on the insides.
Dionysus Two projects are really going down: one to understand how it works, the other to fix the broken engine.
Sue Have they made much progress in either?
Dionysus Not much, but some. They are trying to model it after the other engine, but it's slow going. It's a bit advanced. They basically have one box, in OOC terms.
Sue What can they tell me about it? Does it need fuel? Is it based on magic or void?
Dionysus It's neither magic nor void. It uses fuel they are unfamiliar with, but of which there is a small but insufficient stock within the ship itself.
Sue "I want small samples of it taken to local scholars willing to study a completely unknown compound. For the time being, we must assume that it is at least as dangerous as gunpowder."
Dionysus They all nod save some of the gnomes, who seem confused by the idea that gunpowder is dangerous.
Sue "I also want volunteers for another void engine - an antigravity drive. Here's how you build one ..."
Dionysus They listen & make notes.
Sue Explaining how to build an antigravity drive probably takes up a couple hours.
Dionysus Indeed.
Sue If no one comes for Sue, he'll spend the rest of the day getting started on it.
Dionysus Roll something appropriate.
Dionysus Good roll. You do get a decent start.
Sue By the end of the day, I have an antigravity drive team, and the golden-age engines are still under analysis?
Dionysus Yes, with gnomes sending messages to their cousins to get more gnomes
