The Council of Justice, headed by the Keeper of Justice

History

At the end of the First Maraddonian Civil War, a group of powerful law enforcement agents from various backgrounds approached Paul Driver, the bearer of the Staff of Justice, to form an organization that would dispense justice without the intervention of politics or personal interest. He agreed & lent his favor to the group, eventually building them an academy in his new town of New Anlir.

Within two years, the organization had branched out to Myrmexia & Akazad with small branches in each, as well as instituting the Justicars Errant--wandering justicars.

Notable members Paul Driver*/**, Sir Charles Thornton*, Rupert Jamison, Juan Diego Alvarez*, Jamie Dunstan, Sir Darivander Hurvun*, Reej Von Pelt*, Lawrence Matley, Gylles Creveer, Navir Windkin

Rules

A few of the many rules:

1. Justice is nothing if not tempered with Mercy.
2. The laws of the nations are to be observed. If their laws are untenable with our own, we will withdraw our presence before violating their laws.

3. If the laws of a nation are so far from our own that they violate the concepts of Justice or Mercy by existing, we will work to change them.

Etc.

Alliances

The Church of Home, the Church of Order, the Maraddonian government, the People of the Wind, the Silver Torches, the Order of the Chrysanthemum, etc.

Footnotes * Council member ** The current Keeper of the Staff of Justice is also the chair of the internal Ethics tribunal, which handles ethics complaints against members.
