| Description | Squitomen appear to be slightly anthropomorphized mosquitos. They have slender bodies with long, stinger like proboscises. They have wings extending from their hard exoskeletons on their thorax. They have compound eyes and one ocellus. Their antennae are segmented. Males have bushy antennae, while females have sleek ones. Their middle sections hold their wings and their 6 legs (2 arms, 4 legs). They stand about 6' tall. |
| Procreation | Follows the mother. |
| Magic | One in five million have heart or soul magic. Mind and body magic are possible. Void is possible. Faith is not uncommon. |
| Special Powers | Squitomen carry many horrible diseases, like malaria, yellow fever, dengue fever, and Chikungunya. They are blood drinkers, but not bloodcasters. They are fast and strong, but not very tough. They have very sensitive antennae. Their proboscis is a sharp instrument and they have sharp mouthparts. They are known for their buzzing sounds, which irritate victims. |
| Weaknesses | Healing magic or faith can harm them. |
| Culture | Squitomen (their name for themselves being unpronounceable, but coming out something like skzikxitin) live life in 4 stages: egg, larva, pupa, and imago. The eggs are lain in water, and the larvae and pupae dwell there until they grow to adulthood. They are left to fend for themselves, mostly, but some care is given them. Squitomen prefer to hunt at twilight, killing mostly unintelligent creatures for food. They save their disease spreading for warfare, though, attacking intelligent beings and leaving them alive to spread the diseases. Only the females drink blood, though. The males prefer nectar. |
