| Description | An elderly individual with heavily wrinkled skin or a ball of flame with great wings. |
| Procreation | By draining enough blood, the victim of a soucouyant will become a soucouyant. Most soucouyants are women, but not all. |
| Magic | One in five million have heart or soul magic. Mind and body magic are possible. Void is possible. Faith is not uncommon. |
| Special Powers | A soucouyant can strip off their wrinkled and unleash a floating ball of flame. This ball of flame will enter other homes via cracks and crevices, then drain the blood from victims' soft parts (legs, arms, etc.). They store their skin in a mortar. If the soucouyant drains enough blood, the victim becomes a new soucouyant, but if the soucouyant drains all the blood, the soucouyant will take the skin of their victim. |
| Weaknesses | Soucouyants must pick up every grain of rice they see lying on the ground, so scattering rice will drive them to distraction. To destroy one, one must put salt in the mortar containing its skin, forcing it to be unable to return to the skin. |
| Culture | Soucouyants live on the edges of villages, transforming at night and feasting. The skin of a soucouyant is highly prized by certain demons and ceremonialists. |
