| Description | Siphonies appear to be small people (3-4') with salmon-like tails. Their skin is normal human toned except where it is scaled; their hair is normal human toned. They have tapered tail fins & gills. Their faces are generally youthful in appearance. |

| Special Powers | Siphonies have the ability to breathe underwater through gills. They are excellent swimmers, & they are very cheerful about interacting with surface dwellers. They are rare, & a river blessed with them is an old, deep, & powerful one. They can swim up waterfalls if they need to, & they can understand the water. Some spend parts of their lives in the oceans, but they always return to their home rivers to give birth. Siphonies have excellent senses of smell underwater. They are known for their incredibly long life journeys. They can sense where people are in relation to themselves. They are very intelligent and the oil from their scales can grant wisdom. They are very resistant to disease. |

| Culture | Siphonies are playful beings, living in great tribes that span an entire river. They love to help surface dwellers, trading with them & leading & guiding them. They often save drowning victims, & they love to play silly games with surface children. They are terrified of large boats, however, & run in fear from them. Pollution causes severe illnesses in them. They have seasonal travels, going upstream for mating season. They travel incredible distances. |
