| Description | A shambler appears to be a rotting version of what it was in life. |
| Corruption | A shambler is a basic animated corpse with no will of its own. They occur only through intentional necromantic arts or from the corrupting bite of another shambler. |
| Esoterica | Shamblers are flesh corrupted by msawhat. They have no will, no mind, to engage in any esoteric art. |
| Special Powers | Shamblers cause minor unease in those who see them. Their bite and their nails cause rotting corrupting that infects the flesh of their victims. They are supernaturally strong and have a slightly heightened sense of smell. |
| Necromancy | To create a shambler, a necromancer needs a freshly dead body. Usually the soul is gone; the flesh is what is corrupted. The body becomes a puppet for the necromancer with only their will or its hunger to drive it. If it bites living mortal, that person or creature is at risk of becoming a shambler. Controlling a shambler is simple (5); the necromancer who created one has automatic control unless they choose not to or the shambler moves out of range (depends on the power of the necromancer). To control a shambler not created by the necromancer, it requires only a re-application of corrupting msawhat. Summoning is equally simple, if within range. There is no real power to draw from a shambler, but if one does, it requires the shambler's heart. |
| Sending | Destroying their head will end a shambler's unlife. |
| Weaknesses | Basic qi, the gates, or any heavenly essence will send them. |
| Behavior | Shamblers seek flesh to eat. They mindlessly amble, sniffing out food if they are not doing a master's bidding. |
| Dominion Culture | Raesians use shamblers as mindless, enslaved foot soldiers. |
| Other Dominions | Every Dominion uses shamblers the same as the Raesians do. They do not have any extra powers. |
| Mortal Interactions | Shamblers are the most generic of undead, often confused with other forms of corporeal undead. Most don't know what they are called, simply referring to them as walking dead, living dead, living corpses, etc. |
| Afterlife | Their souls have already moved on. When a shambler is destroyed, there is only flesh to be neutralized. |
