Beliefs:
Zephidia (Faith of the Dawn): Dignity and honor are paramount. Respect others, for they are worthy no matter what they think. Be chivalrous and honorable to afford them the dignity they deserve, and yourself the dignity you deserve. You are a noble being, and by acting like one, you make the world noble. Be proud, but not arrogant. Pride is the expression of dignity. Be disciplined, for the world can be a harsh one, and survival is important. Survival
is dignified, but dishonor is not. Treat others as you would be treated (the Golden Rule). Rise each morning and give thanks, and lie down each evening and rest. When the sun is high, you can see furthest, but it is also the hottest. All swords have two edges. The only protection you have is your honor.
Afterlife:
The Leonine faith claims that those who die either go to a golden Promised Land where they await a return to the world in a higher form, to a purgatorial state, or to the Hells, where they are punished for their sins. Those who make it to the Promised Land find it to be a warrior's hall-style afterlife, where they train and celebrate their strength until the last days, when they will return as beings of solar flame to scour the world of evil. In the meantime, they dwell in the Presence of the Divine and exalt. Those in a purgatorial state become part of the Sun itself, burning away their sins until they are light enough to ascend. Those in the Hells simply suffer punishments for eternity.
