Description Setecidades are muscular human-like beings of about 7' in height. Their skin tones are usually tan or brown and their hair is usually a lighter shade of brown. They are usually adorned with elaborately dyed clothing, golden jewelry, coins, bright feathers, jewels, and braids.
Procreation Follows the mother.

Island Setecidades have a species memory of the Island of Eternity. They seek to recreate it imperfectly on floating islands. They gain strength by communing with the island and the emotional resonance of their community, and when they are on their islands, they are much more powerful. They also gain the power on their island to sense the emotions of others around them. Outside the island, they do not have this empathic power.
Special Powers A setecidade has the power to convert positive emotional resonance into luck. They have supernatural beauty; to see one is to risk losing next action in surprise. They can turn liquids into a weakened form of rumvine.
Weaknesses Misfortune can harm them.
Culture Setecidades live on floating islands, powered by fortune. They reshape each island into a rectangular form and build exactly seven cities on each. If the cities get large enough to bleed into each other, the population splits into seven and finds new islands. Each city is led by a council of seven elders, usually from the merchant class. Children are cared for by their immediate families and taught in public schools. The merchant class controls most of the government and media, but on some islands, the priest class is in charge.
