The safat is a bird that only touches ground when it dies, & will only die if it touches the ground. It flies around the world, never stopping to rest. Everything the safat does, it does in the sky. When it lays an egg, the egg falls to the earth, but hatches before it reaches the ground, the chick flying off immediately. The shells are all that reach the ground, & if anything eats one, it will go mad.
