Nearly 3,000 years ago, Baron Rothlainn bought himself a mercenary army and tried to build his own kingdom. He created a force of cruel, vicious fey and fairies, animal folk, and others who were more interested in violence and coin than anything else. They conquered a major part of the fairy queendom, and it was only the Cinn Mhaithe who eventually defeated him. He has been long-since dead, but there is still a group, the Bráithreachas Bán (White Brotherhood), who still fights in his name.
