Dinosaur Folk:

Because they are so rare, dinosaur folk are not split into different categories. Dinosaurs are not extinct on Shem, at least, not all of them. The following nations are the most common animal folk based on dinosaurs, but this list is not exhaustive. These beings are generally human-like with heads, feathers/scales, tails, and other prominent features of their antecedent species. A t. rex person does not usually have short arms, but their hands will resemble that of a t. rex. An ankylosaur person will have the armored body, tail, and head, but stand bipedal and have opposable thumbs. And so on. The main exception is deinonychus and variraraptor folk, who are close in form to their antecendents to the point that they can blend in with them, and compsognathus folk, who are on average much shorter than humans.

Ophidians:

the serpentean nations are all based on snakes. Most nations are small, one or two villages, but some have formed major empires around Shem. Only the most common or notable are listed here. Other than certain parts of the Lyrilla region of Jesenranu, there are no regions of Shem without ophidian nations.

Adder Folk:
