A member of the hidden creches in the deep mountains, Remmerque is a hulking guardian gargoyle dedicated to the young Roan Asher, though he does not know it. Posing as a cook with a shattered leg, Remmerque followed him covertly when he left home & made his way on the ships Roan worked in that manner. He is a strange gargoyle in that he allows for his ward's love of adventure, & only steps in at the last possible moment.
