Qeshta grew up the child of two slaves, but she was allowed to be free. She was abandoned because of it, and she grew up on the streets. She joined the Blue Grith as an urchin, growing up with a ferocious need to protect others. Before she was even an adult, she was training as a street guardian. She was a leader by the time of the Camisade, saving many lives. When the former Secretary for War was executed, she was elected to replace him. She suffered a terrible injury during the Camisade, losing part of her tail and having burns along the left side of her lower body.
