Ciprian Sris is the heir to the throne of Srisia. He is a Savant. He has the blood of the Webweaver in his veins. This is his story.

1. Shadow Steward:
Ciprian is betrothed to Elisabeth Maellow. The two of them are close friends and allies in the court intrigues of Srisia. They have a small group of close allies that they have groomed since they were children. With his mother dead, Ciprian has given the Robes of Shadow to his betrothed and agreed to take the throne, but first, he has a mission to undertake. To go on this mission, he must first select a steward. He and his team work together to vet the five possible candidates.

Before he leaves, Ciprian and his team must meet with the Prophetess.

3. Thorn Maze:
Ciprian travels first to Mwyr Aeld, where he intends to speak with the High King and meet an old friend there. While there, he has a mission from the Prophetess to undertake as well.

4. Into the Woods:
On their way north to the Shadowlands, Ciprian and his team go through the four forests of central Ansulym: Blackwood, Lamb Wood, Phobian Wood, and Night Wood. Each forest features its own dangers, pleasures, and opportunities.

5. Shadowweaver:
All maleficers must face a trial of Shadow, and the most powerful do so in the Shadowlands themselves. Ciprian and his team enter the Shadowlands in order to meet the genius locus there, test themselves in the dark, and become more powerful--and acquire the sword Shadow's Tongue.

6. Infernal Alliance:
Their journey into Shadow takes them to the Hells. The chaos there is to their advantage, and they seek to meet with the Prince of the Nerons. In doing so, they must face many enemies.

7. Queen of Serpents:
Ishah Halag is a puppet state of Srisia now run by Khaldhys, the Queen of Serpents, Consort to Divines. She plays a game of alliances and betrayals that is complex and impossible to follow. Ciprian and his team visit her to determine if she is loyal.

8. Night Fleet:
Plague, war, chaos, and opportunism have rendered Merukis an even more dangerous place to be. With the arrival of the Prince's ship, the city erupts into riots. Ciprian and his team enter without fear, heading straight for the Admiral of the Night Fleet.

9. The Hand of God:
The Butchers and their dark allies have arranged a neutral meeting ground for Ciprian and Gideon, the Hand of God, in Wusura in Taggarus. Ciprian and his team complete the alliance, fulfill the promise, and amplify the trade in super-soldiers.

10. Shadow Mountain:
Most climb the Mountain of Trials to ascend to some higher power. Ciprian and his team have other ideas, warping the Mountain to their own ends.

11. It Begins:
Ciprian returns to Srisia with his team and has another discussion with the Prophetess.

12. The War of the Night:
Ciprian raises his banner and calls his allies and puppet states to him. He calls all of Sable Night to his command. He calls on Agikaan, the Night Fleet, and more. He calls upon armies of evil. And he sets out to conquer the world.

13. Purity Ends:
With the war waging, Ciprian and his team now have access to places they could not go before. He continues his quest as his agents lead the war. First, he must purge the world of the protectors of purity. Ciprian and his team go to the Convent of the Vestals and kill them.

14. The Riding:
His second target is The Riding. Ciprian and his team head into Lyrilla to face the First Rider, protector of peace, and steal his soul. There, they also face the Fist of the Righteous, who has vowed to protect the Rider.

15. Lifted Voices:
While in Lyrilla, they travel through the Winter Empire, take ship, and head toward the Sisters. On their way to slaughter, they must face the Chorus, eight Aeonians who serve the Songstress Divine. As they raid the Sisters, they take slaves to send to Agikaan.

16. Checkmate:
The forces of Sable Night nearly meet their match with the Lord of Metis leading the opposing armies, so sets forth Ciprian and his team to assassinate him and his protectors, the Homebuilder and the Megalith.

17. Caught:
Ciprian summons the Fallen Host to go to war with the Holy Host. The skies above become glowing battlefields of energies unfathomable, and he and the team take advantage of it to web the world in shadow energy.

18. Bait:
The Queen of Bounty and the Queen of Fashioning have been taken as slaves. They are brought to Ciprian and his team, who decide to use them as bait for bigger prey.

19. Glory:
When the forces of Sable Night invade Sacra Vitta, the glories unleash incredible powers to fight back, threatening the shadow web. Ciprian and his team go into their sanctum to eradicate them.

20. Golden Desert:
Tara'hin remains unassailable and a powerhouse in the war against Sable Night, so Ciprian and his team decide to weaken them by slaughtering their allies slowly and surely. He and his team personally enter the Golden Desert to hunt the Phoenix.

21. Eclipse Web:
The leaders of Tara'hin call upon logoses to help destroy the shadow web, and Ciprian responds.

22. Wilting Flower:
In Jesenya, the Chrysanthemum Empire is falling, and the Platinum Prince rides out with his ally Magnus Jericho for a final confrontation with Ciprian and his forces.

Gideon and Ciprian meet once more, this time openly in Fetat, where they drink blood and feast on their enemies.
