Danfyr's report:
There is a subsection of the Divine Law regarding the Gerents of each aspect that states that if an Aspect has been established, it MUST have a Gerent, but not necessarily a Divine. However, if a Divine exists of that Aspect, the way the Law is worded, there is an argument to be made that the Divine must be the Gerent. The wording actually has to do with how the Divine is the only one who can declare a Gerent for an Aspect if a Divine exists. It does not say 'is part of the pantheon.' It simply says that if a Divine exists, the Divine is the one who must declare the Gerent of an Aspect. Thus, it could be argued that if you are the Divine of the Aspect of Thorns, you will be the only one able to declare anyone a Gerent of that Aspect. If you declare yourself as such, you will be undeniably part of the Shemmish pantheon. It's a technicality, but it has a good chance of working.
