| Description | At birth, all dragons look like large, pink worms. At maturity, dragons grow to be giant flying but wingless snakes. Their scales are pellucid black and inky. |
| Procreation | Dragons mate with each other only. Without intense supernatural interference, half-dragons are an impossibility. Dragons lay one to three eggs at a time. Upon hatching, a dragon immediately begins absorbing background energies. All dragon eggs are filled with pure, liquid draconic energy, which sustains the baby dragon upon hatching. |
| Esoterica | Pellucid dragons have accumulated vast amounts of void. Rending is not unheard of. Divine energies sometimes exist. Lunar aether, fundamental aether, and cosmic aether sometimes are absorbed. Gebvel, ethereal energy, and paradox are not unheard of. Anything else is rare. Mana is impossible, holy energies are impossible. |
| Special Powers | Dragons gain new powers as they accumulate more energies. At each stage of growth, they gain a new ability, usually culminating with the twelfth ability when they accumulate . The usual progression of powers is as follows:
All dragons accumulate energies by absorbing them naturally from the area around them. As such, they must carefully cultivate their lairs to provide the right kinds of energies, hence they hoard appropriate objects. Other common powers include emotional nullification, temporal nullification, voidstorm, summon void fauna, and nullify light. |
| Alternate Forms | Some pellucid dragons occasionally take the form of a greater athak. |

| Subspecies | Null beasts are pellucid dragons who have absorbed so much void they become nullification foci, obliterating all around them and converting it to void, until they burn out rapidly. |
| Culture | Pellucid dragons lay their eggs in pools of void beneath the surface of the White Moon, in vast dark caverns. Though no dragon helps raise them, almost all of them survive to maturity. At maturity, pellucid dragons join the nearest hive and serve its master until they are strong enough either to start their own hive or take it over. They mate at their master's will and serve at their master's will. They make alliances with the local communities, usually greater athaks, to help fill their hoards. No outsiders are ever welcome if they do not wield void power. In old age, they simply are absorbed into the hive. |
