Ollien is a kith whose bond to his lover was lost during Starfall. In fact, his connection to all of his kin was lost. He was alone, lost, confused. In those early days, he met the Chainbreaker, who taught him how to survive while disconnected. He was shown the Chains that had bound him before, and he became comfortable without them. He became stronger. He made it his quest to destroy other metaphorical chains. He is currently aiding his friend the Chainbreaker in attempting to free the Vesturian slaves.
