St. Theresa is the Immortal leader of an ancient and secret order of information brokers and secret keepers. In the Age of the Wounding, she has taken the job of understanding the mysteries of Starfall.
She down on the corner, just a little crime
When I make my money got to get my dime
She down with her baby, wind is full of trash
She bold as the street light, dark and sweet as hash
Way down in the hollow, leavin' so soon
Oh, St. Theresa, higher than the moon
Reach down for the sweet stuff, when she looks at me
I know any man sees you like I see
Follow down the side street movin' single file
She say that's where I'll hold you, sleeping like a child
Way down in the hollow, leavin' so soon
Oh, St. Theresa, higher than the moon
Just what I've been needin', feel it rise in me
She say every stone a story, like a rosary
Corner St. Theresa, just a little crime
When I make my money, got to get my dime
Way down in the hollow, leavin' so soon
Oh, St. Theresa, higher than the moon
You called up in the sky
You called up in the clouds
Is there something you forgot
to tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me
Show me my Theresa, feel it rise in me
Every stone a story, like a rosary
St. Theresa was a changeling on First Shem, born to a drow elf & a sidhe. She took to the mortal realm more than Green Arbor, home of the faeries. She lived in Galdun, working as an information broker, building a small network of some skill & power in the wake of the War of the Gods. She slowly but surely got involved in larger plots, world plots, after meeting Samuel Jericho, whom she fell in love with. During this time, she also met Rhevalla Sris, whom she formed an instant rivalry & hatred for.
After a while, her network eventually spread such that a more central base was needed, & she moved her headquarters to Merukis. Slowly but surely, she became known not just as a good information broker, but the best of them. She built a network that outshone even the best spy networks of major countries. She began facing the Srisian Cult & the other powerful evil agencies that threatened the world, & soon came to be well trusted by her usual clients, especially the Order of the Chrysanthemum.
When the Wild Hunt became too powerful & the faeries fled Shem, St. Theresa joined them, but stayed in the Dream Realm, overseeing her network from the subconscious. When the Champions of Terror rose, she joined the Runners as Runner 0, working through the Runner Sign to spread messages & help them fight. When the final war between good & evil brought Shem to an end, she worked for the side of Hope. As a reward for her service, she was granted the choice to enter the Promised Land & spend eternity in joy or to remain alive & see what Second Shem brought.
She chose to remain, for now.
During the Early Years, she walked Shem again, as a beggar woman, learning the new order of things, setting up her network amongst mortals. During the Age of Growth, she watched. During the Godless Times, she acted, sending out her agents & ensuring the eventual return of the Gods.
When the Webweaver attempted to take advantage of the newly wakened state of the gods, St. Theresa went to the Summer Country & warned the Gods there, so that they might protect the Dream Realm. During the Age of Peace, she went back to hiding, building her network quietly.
She has learned as much as she could on everything, from arts to sciences, from people to places, from warfare to negotiations, from magic to void. She has worked hard to be as much a master of intrigue as her adversary, the Prophetess of the Webweaver. The game continues.
During the Age of Empires, she became involved in the planar politics of the time, trying to find a way to reverse the War God's Curse...
