Description: Octallons are demons with eight spectral arms & strange hooded heads, over bodies draped in fleshy red "robes."

Procreation: Octallons breed with other octallons or tartarans, creating octallons. When they breed with non-nobles, it follows the mother. If they breed with non-demons, it creates half-demons.

Magic: 1/200000 have soul magic, 1/1000000 have heart magic. Mind & body magic are always present, unless the octallon is a soul or heart mage. Faith is not unheard of, but not very common. They do not use void, despite being able to.

Special Powers: Octallons are demons with eight spectral arms, each with a different ability. The powers are as follows: crush soul (breaks the soul such that it cannot function, but still remains attached to the body), steal soul, poison soul (causes the soul to kill the body, then itself), scar soul (creates permanent damage to soul that cannot be healed easily), maim soul (marr the soul unto ugliness, making the body reject it--killing the body & tarnishing the soul), starve soul (prevents soul from receiving any good acts, causing it to wither away), kill soul, freeze soul (causes soul to cease being able to move, forcing the body to either abondon it or be stuck forever). They are immune to mundane fire. It is a 22 difficulty to summon or control one with dark magic or faith.

Culture: Octallons are ranked as counts in the nobility of the Hells. They are also all magic-users & scholars. They are, indeed, rivals of the dreads in many ways. They seek to undermine the plans of the dreads when it suits their purposes to do so. They often abuse their rank as well, in order to gain the upper hand against weaker dreads. Because of their preoccupation with the dreads, octallons do not often enter into the schemes & plots of the tartarans. They do, however, each have a march somewhere in the Hells or Catacombs that they rule. When they deal with mortals, they are usually aloof & mysterious, or simply terrifying.
