| Description | They appear to be human, though those born of the rape of a nympth or empath have red or black eyes. Dark hair is common, even in fair haired races. They are generally a bit taller than normal humans. |
| Procreation | An obsidian ender can breed more enders off of any female. |
| Magic | One in a million have soul magic. None have heart magic. Body magic is possible, as is mind magic & void. Faith is not uncommon. |
| Special Powers | Obsidian enders have the ability to rend flesh & break bones with a touch. They have a twisted form of empathy that allows them to feel the emotions of others, but they do not feel any emotions of their own--they actually feel what is felt by those around them. They cannot affect other empath subraces with their rending. Obsidian enders have the ability to Recognize the magical Taint created by Ender Gifts. This tells them something about the victim of the Taint. Rending, their version of wounding, does not negatively affect them at all, but they can only do it by spending the emotions they are getting from those around them. Obsidian enders can use Ender Gifts without being negatively affected by the poison of the Taint. They are also resistant to normal disease & poisons. |
| Weaknesses | As they cannot use their rending power without emotional fuel, they can be rendered helpless against void-creatures who do not reigtser on their empathy or by apathy. In a crowd, they can be overwhelmed if they are not strong. Creation magic or faith can hurt them. |
| Culture | Obsidian enders are very rare, & they live mostly in evil nations where they are revered as killing machines. In normal human society, they are distrusted at best. Some become members of the dark Ender Corps, while others choose to join the destruction church, where a similar Corps is available. |
