| Description | Nurikabes appear to be stony human-like figures during the day, but at night, they simply become invisible barriers that flit about and block ill-used roads. |
| Procreation | With each other for more nurikabes. |
| Magic | One in five million have heart or soul magic. Mind and body magic are possible. Void is possible. Faith is not uncommon. |
| Special Powers | Nurikabes can create an impenetrable barrier at night, but during the day, they are very vulnerable beings, despite their stony appearance. Nurikabes sense only the edges of things, only the boundaries, but on every level--real or abstract. |
| Weaknesses | Two knocks on the lower part of the barrier makes them go away. |
| Culture | Nurikabes are seen as minor inconveniences by locals, and they are honored and aided when possible. Unfamiliar travelers often get very angry and frustrated, and the nurikabes take this as encouragement--it is their food, after all. If they come against someone powerful enough to harm them, they often get very upset when it happens, and they band together and create an impassable maze over the backroads of a region. The locals then go out and gently drive them off, then bring them aid during the day. |
