"BEHOLD!

"I am the rumble of thunder. I have come to you this day to bring you the Words of the Storm.

"I am the roar of the wind. I have come to you this day to show you the What Is Seen in the Lightning.

"I am the hiss of the rain. I have come to you this day to anoint you in the Downpour.

"I am the clatter of hail. I have come to you this day to Uplight you in the Wind.

"I am the Voice of the Storm, and I am here to bring you into the Tempest.

"When I was a child amidst the sands of the deserts, one of the Nur Tribe, lowliest outsiders to the great cities of brass, I knew that the only respite my people had from the brutalities of the desert, of the ka'ar, and of the world, were in the midst of the cloudbursts. The torrents were our only defense against the burning hunters that would come for us.

"The life of the suf-ka'ar is one of trial. We are not home. We will never be home. There is no home for us.

"When I was a child, I knew that there must be done something to counter this grave injustice. I stood up to the flames, and my spark grew ever stronger as I did. I brought hope to my friends, and my family, and my tribe. Encouraged, I took word to other tribes, new friends, distant family. I traveled first the deserts, then further, and further, until I came to tribes I had never heard of. They, too, heeded my words, for they, too, knew injustice.

"Power. Power is the heart of the storm. The lightning, the rain, the wind, the wall of cloud, the sharp attack of hail. The storm is strength. The storm is violence. The storm is both weapon and shield.
