The Counterblast

Over 200 years ago, a lilithian named Shaqilath was captured and taken slave, transported to Haenor, and sold to the Jansing family. Initially defiant, she was tormented by her captors until her spirit broke. After years of living in enslavement, she gave birth to a child non-consensually sired by the eldest son of the Jansing family at the time. Her daughter, born a slave, was her inspiration for her renewed resilience and resistance. When her daughter was 15, Shaqilath escaped enslavement with assistance from other slaves who had to remain behind, and she resolved to save those who saved her. She and her daughter, Na'qia, snuck back in and saved one of them, then began building a network to continue the work. After a decade of this work, they and their network became founding members of the Grith, and Shaqilath became the Counterblast, leader of the Blue Grith. After more than 80 years, Shaqilath passed away from illness, and Na'qia took the mantle of Counterblast and leadership of the Blue Grith.

Na'qia was a much more bold leader, openly declaring herself and making herself the face of the Blue Grith in order to draw heat away from others. Sixty years ago, during a speech she gave openly to the enslaved, agents of the city shot her. The bullet went through her left cheek and hit part of her brain and spine. She was in a coma for 12 years, and during that time, the Blue Grith suffered many other losses as a coordinated campaign took out many members. When she recovered, she slowly began the process of rebuilding. At this time, the Blue Grith remains relatively weak.

Description

Her common form is that of a dark-skinned human with a massive, puckered scar in her left cheek. Her eyes are slate grey, and her hair is black. Her monstrous form covers her body in hair, elongates her fingers, turns her teeth to iron (bite +5/+5), a skeletal face, glowing eyes (sight +3), and backward feet.
