| Description | Moaning sockets come in three stages: tear, weeper, and duchess. As a tear, tehy are simply a ball of aqueous and vitreous humors in a clear sac, floating around. As a weeper, they gain flesh and size, becoming a proper ocular. They lack a main eye, instead having six to nine eyestalks & one large mouth in their spherical bodies. As a duchess, they becomes immobile sacks of flesh leaking tears. |

| Special Powers | A moaning socket tear has an aura of despair that fades as they gain flesh. Once they are weepers, the eyestalks each have a despair power, usually some form of happiness draining. The moan for which they are named saps a person's will to move. They each levitate themselves, usually. At least one eyestalk will drain happiness, to nourish the eye. The duchess regains her aura of despair, but so powerful none can resist it. |
