A scion of the Hwit family (she changed the spelling of her last name as a small rebellion), she once lived in luxury and was a major player in the halls of power. At some point, however, she fell in love with a man who was her slave. She realized eventually he did not love her back, that he only pretended to to try to escape enslavement, and she felt betrayed. She freed him and cast him away in anger, but her experience nagged at her. Eventually, she realized that the world she thought she knew was a lie, and she walked away from it in a bold fashion, joining the Green Grith, becoming the legendary traitor who became the Radical of the Sun.
