| Description | Slug-men. Slimy, hideous slug-men. Standing about six feet tall, the very appearance of these beings has made grown men vomit. They have feelers on their heads, smooth scaled arms with flippered hands, and lower bodies of actual slugs, writ large. Their coloration ranges that of normal slugs. They are prone to desiccation and are drenched in mucus to survive. Their mucus is highly valued by ceremonial mages for its magical value. They are all intersexed, though some practice apophollation (don't ask, you don't want to know). They live off what other species would consider detritus. They all naturally sense magic at all times, and have a greater aptitude to learning magical styles (mind and body) because of it. |
| Procreation | They are all intersexed, though some practice apophollation (don't ask, you don't want to know). |
| Magic | One in fifty million have heart or soul magic. Almost all use mind or body magic. Void is not possible. Faith is uncommon. |
| Special Powers | They are prone to desiccation and are drenched in mucus to survive. Their mucus is highly valued by ceremonial mages for its magical value. They live off what other species would consider detritus. They all naturally sense magic at all times, and have a greater aptitude to learning magical styles (mind and body) because of it. |
| Weaknesses | They are prone to desiccation and weak to void. |
| Culture | Luscari dwell in humid areas and are attuned to the magic of them. They spend much time learning magic and using it to protect themselves and their culture. From birth, they learn magic, and by the time they are of age, they are given three choices: join the cabal, make their own cabal, or go independent. A cabal is the basic form of luscari society. They learn magic together and take care of each other. An independent luscar is a rare thing, but rarer still is one without magic. When a luscar is found not to be able to use magic, or worse, unwilling, they are immediately thrown out of the cabal. What happens next is usually up to them, but most kill themselves. |
