| Description | Leopardmen have long bodies and short legs, with heads slightly larger than they seem they should be. They stand about 6' tall and have rosettes all over their fur, tightly packed. Some rare leopardmen are melanistic, and thus, black furred. |
| Procreation | With each other for more leopardmen. With other felinians for halfbreeds. |
| Magic | One in five million have soul or heart magic. Mind or body magic is possible. Void is possible. Faith is not uncommon. |
| Special Powers | Leopardmen are amongst the most agile creatures alive. They are very fast and very good climbers, and their preferred method of hunting is to wait in a tree until prey arrives. Leopardmen have excellent sight, hearing, and smell, and they are known for their hunting ability. They are opportunistic hunters. Leopardmen generally ignore bad weather, having little to no trouble operating in a moderately dangerous thunderstorm. They have a large capacity for alcohol, and very little fear--they have been known to attack dragons alone. They have sweet breath which is captured by ceremonial mages and enchanters for use in luck spells. One in a million is born with a tongue of fire, and these rare individuals will be above reproach in leopardman society, as they are considered the 'protectors of the universe.' As such, they are generally virtuous individuals. |
| Weaknesses | Altering a leopardman's spots (if he is not melanistic) will rob him of his identity, breaking his spirit utterly. After a particularly large meal, leopardmen sleep upwards of three days solid. |
| Culture | Leopardmen are generally solitary beings, but not unfriendly. Mothers raise children in secluded areas while males lead lives of risk and abandon. In tribes, the women usually keep the men in line, but the birthing always takes place in some solitary location. The children are kept away from the males for six weeks, until their eyes open, at which time it is deemed safe for them to enter the rough and tumble world of leopardmen. They are known especially to love revels, carrying them on their backs and playing with them like kittens. |
