| Description | Coralines appear to be tiny blue women with coral shells as part of their dress. Their skin is a little like that of a seal. Their soulmates, kelpies, appear to be long strands of kelp with human or horse features. They tend to be white, black, or green. |
| Procreation | Coralines attract males of other tiny races or animals to mate with, luring them into their reefs & parenting a child off them. Unlucky males sometimes die in the process. Their soul mates, kelpies, reproduce via external fertilization with seahorses. |
| Magic | 1/200,000 coralines have heart or soul magic. 1/1000 kelpies have heart or soul magic. Mind magic & body magic are possible, but very rare, as is void. Faith is common. |
| Special Powers | Corlaines & kelpies are connected via their souls, which are intertwined intricately. Coralines are beautiful for their size. They can speak to fish, see in the dark, & control undersea flora (& undersea fauna that looks like flora). Coralines can shape coral shells to provide themselves with protection. Kelpies can lure full grown humans (or similar) into the depths by casting illusions of horses or people to the shore. They only do this to those who would hurt their domains, though. Kelpies can control large sea life, speak to the currents, & ensnare people in their bodies. |
| Weaknesses | If a kelpie dies, the coraline dies. If a coraline dies, a kelpie becomes a normal kelp. They are weak to electricity. |
| Culture | Coralines live in coral reefs, near their soulmates. They tend to be sharp, strict tenders of their domains. They enjoy riding seahorses, hunting for fish eggs, & arranging colorful arrays of sea life. Their soulmates, kelpies, live in kelp beds, protecting the seas from surface dwellers as best they can. |
