| Esoterica | As beings of fate and lunar aether, djinn have an affinity for the arts of fate and lunar aether. They also wield damaskian powers, currents aether, brumal aether, arnum, infernal energies, mana, astral aether, mystery, the gates, symbolism, and karma. Solar aether, msawhat, flux, and fortune are impossible for them to wield. |
| Special Powers | Katsura-otokos have supernatural handsomeness. Those who gaze at them too long will be lured in. The katsura-otoko can then take part of their lifespans. Their glow reflects esoteric energies away from them naturally. They grow small gardens where they dwell on the moons using their powers, and their gardens store lunar aether that shifts with the phases of the moon. They can fly. Katsura-otokos can form contracts with mortals wherein they grant them special powers via the plants in their gardens. They contact mortals by gazing into mirrors, through which they can look at any mortal looking at their moon, if that moon is full. |
| Weaknesses | Katsura-otokos are weak to msawhat and dislike intense solar aether. |
| Nations | Some katsura-otokos have moved from the Grey Moon to the White or Green Moons, forming new nations that adapt to their lunar aether there. |
| Culture | Katsura-otokos live mostly in isolation on the moons, in distant places, tending their gardens. They build palaces to live alone in sometimes, if they are very powerful. They watch their mirrors during the full moon and seek connections to tend their loneliness. When they do meet other katsura-otokos, they have brief romances. When there are children, they raise them in an aloof manner, sending them away within a few decades. |
