| Description | At birth, all dragons look like large, pink worms. At maturity, jade dragons grow to be two-headed jade statues of a cross between a bulldog and an alligator, with bat wings and a huge tail studded with thorns. |
| Procreation | Dragons mate with each other only. Without intense supernatural interference, half-dragons are an impossibility. Dragons lay one to three eggs at a time. Upon hatching, a dragon immediately begins absorbing background energies. All dragon eggs are filled with pure, liquid draconic energy, which sustains the baby dragon upon hatching. |
| Esoterica | Jade dragons accumulate envy resonance in mass quantities. Infernum and arnum are very common, as is shadow and Damaskian energy. Gebvel, greenlight aether, bestial aether, lunar aether, psionics, and msawhat-corrupted dumaqu are very common. Divine energies are infrequent. Poioumenon, yahas, and kor are common, as is mana. Holy energies and love resonanace are impossible. |
| Special Powers | Dragons gain new powers as they accumulate more energies. At each stage of growth, they gain a new ability, usually culminating with the twelfth ability when they accumulate . The usual progression of powers is as follows:
All dragons accumulate energies by absorbing them naturally from the area around them. As such, they must carefully cultivate their lairs to provide the right kinds of energies, hence they hoard appropriate objects. Other common powers include ever greater charm, instill yearning, instill envy, hunting skill, and mind control. |
| Alternate Forms | Jade dragons sometimes take the form of a madfallhebodyn. |
| Weaknesses | Love resonance will kill them and dumaqu is very painful to them. |
| Subspecies | Thorn dragons have absorbed more thorn energy than most. They become thorn-covered versions of their brethren and have the power to launch their poisonous thorns at will. They are constantly consumed by envy and yearning for resonance, and they slowly fade away with time as they burn out if they do not eat constantly. They are beautiful to behold and use this to lure in victims. |
| Culture | Jade dragons lay their eggs in the nests of other dragons, poisoning the eggs of their rivals and taking over their nests. One parent will raise the children to hate the other parent(s), and the children are usually used as props in power struggles. If they survive (three out of four do), they grow to resent all parents and seek new clans to be a part of. Jade dragons take on many slaves to serve them and build their hoards. As they grow old, they become prey for younger, stronger dragons. Mating is done for political reasons. |
