Description A rotting, stinking undead plant.
Procreation None. New jack o' lanterns are made from the corruption of plants near to the jack o' lantern when it dies, or when it plants its roots for any period of time.
Magic Soul magic occurs 1/1000000 plants, but it is always very weak. Void, other magic are all impossible. Undeath faith can occur, but it is always very low.
Special Powers Jacks, being undead plants, are animate. They can walk, some can talk (in terrifying voices), & they can eat flesh. They burn with an inner light, & they have glowing eyes. Their voices, if they have them, cause terror in listeners at a 10. They are often poisonous, or curse-inducing, in their attacks. Their attacks vary by plant (vines, thorns, needle, spines, roots, branches, etc). If they choose to, they can put down their roots into the soil & become sessile, disguised as a normal plant if they close their eyes. It is a 10 undeath power to create one.

Culture Jacks live in patches (groups of three or more). They lure people in with their glow at night & ambush them (who suspects a pumpkin or a shrub to attack?). They are cunning, but not particularly bright.
