Jack o' Kent is a grinning mage of legendary skill who refuses to be a warden or more, but whose skills as a prankster are nonpareil. He is a bogeyman figure to the authorities, someone to be warned against, and so embedded in Endruinite history - he is known throughout the empire - that landmarks are named for him. He is said to have outwitted Diaboli himself, entering into bargains and following them to the letter but not the spirit thereof.

While he himself will tell you he never met Diaboli, he does admit he once tricked a demon into taking a dog's soul instead of a fairy's, and now a hellhound hunts him.

His species and age are unknown, as is his history.
